Join WLCT staff as we stroll the property of Westport Woods Conservation Park, seeking the sights and sounds of our nocturnal neighbors. We will keep our eyes and ears open for the wildlife that awakens while the rest of the world sleeps!

August 31 presents a Calendrical Blue Moon - the second full Moon of the month - which will take place while the Moon is at its nearest point to Earth. This Moon cycle is called the Sturgeon Moon, so named "because the giant sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this part of summer" (Farmer's Almanac).

A headlight and comfortable walking shoes are recommended! We meet at Westport Woods (573 Adamsville road) at 7:30pm.
